My work explores themes inspired by the culture and aesthetics of my Southeast Texas upbringing. Utilizing a wide range of mediums in both two and three dimensional pieces, I depict specific textures, materials, and iconography from the region. Though the work addresses external forces, it is filtered through a lens of personal experience and nostalgia. My studio practice is very intuitive, often alternating between paintings and wall sculptures, that when paired together present themselves as a collection of swatches, moments, and objects.
